WHAT IS BEYOND SALES SIMULATION?

There's more to sales than most people know. Every step taken, every decision made in sales counts for the overall results of any company.

Beyond Sales Simulation is a real-time sales simulation to discover the real customer development experience and act as a real professional making strategic and executional decisions. In this simulation, when it comes to decision making, the participants will be calculating every variable, keeping a constant budget in a volatile market and confronting the customer demands.

The key success factor is focusing on shopper and the customer at the same time. The simulation is designed neatly to demonstrate the Unilever way of contemporary sales.

The simulation is followed by a Presentation phase in which the participants are asked to pitch their ideas to the jury. The subject of the presentations will be around Selling With Purpose, which signifies the Unilever way of sales. You’ll also submit a 3 min video to present your idea.

Out of the 50, only 10 will be able to participate to the final stage. Finalists will be announced on
22th January.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is it obligatory to have 3 or 4 students in a team?

Yes.

Should all the team members be at the same class/degree/ faculty/university?

No. Students from different universities, different classes and different faculties may be in one team. Even undergraduates and postgraduates can gather in a team.

I am a freshman, can I participate anyway?

No, it is required for all team members to be junior/senior undergraduate students, graduates of Class 2020 (including January 2020) and first year graduate students.

Can I participate in the competition with more than one team?

No, you can be a member of only one team. Only the first application of each person will be accepted in case a second application is identified.

What do I have to do to apply to Beyond Sales Simulation?

Make up your team of 3-4 people and apply by filling the application form by 25 November 2020 until 23:59.

When will the Beyond Sales Simulation start and finish?

The simulation will be open to participants starting from 1 November 2020. You will have to complete all the stages of the simulation by 9 December 2020 until 23.59.

When will the semi-finalists of the Beyond Sales Simulation be announced?

The semi-finalists will be announced on 10 December 2020.

How many people will be selected as semi-finalist?

50 teams will be selected as a result of the Simulation as semi-finalist.

When will the brief for Beyond Sales Challenge be published?

It will be published after 11 December 2020 on the Beyond Sales website.

What do we have to do in the Beyond Sales Challenge?

You will be given a mission which including a briefing on the topic. You will have to complete the mission and prepare a presentation & 3 min video according to the brief given. It should be a Powerpoint presentation in 16:9 slide ratio max 5 slides. English is the language for all materials submitted or presented.

How will we send our presentation?

You will be uploading your presentation via a submission form on Beyond Sales website until 9 January 2021.

Will you provide us with a presentation template?

No. However, in the brief given, we will outline what we are looking for. You will have to make sure your presentation covers it all.

What do we have to do for the final?

All team members, whose information is submitted during application, will have to attend the Big Final. You should be preparing a presentation explaining the decisions you made throughout Beyond Sales Simulation as well as the reasons behind them. You will have a presentation session with our leaders at Unilever. It should be a Powerpoint presentation in 16:9 slide ratio and in English.

When will the finalists of Beyond Sales Simulation be announced?

It will be announced on 10 January 2021.

When is the Big Final?

The Big Final will be held online via Zoom on 20 January 2021.
