RULES

  • Undergraduates in their third or fourth year, graduates of Class 2019 (including January 2019) or 1st year graduate students can participate in Unilever Beyond Sales Simulation.
  • The applications to Beyond Sales Simulation are open from 12 November 2018 onwards. All teams must complete and submit the application form until 28 December 2018 by the end of the day.
  • Each team must be comprised of minimum three or maximum four people.
  • Participants can be a member of only one team.
  • Each team should designate a "spokesperson". The spokesperson will be the main contact person for the team throughout Beyond Sales.
  • Beyond Sales Simulation will be realized online on another website dedicated to the simulation.
  • The simulation will be open to participants whose applications are approved starting from 7 December 2018.
  • Each team will have to complete all the stages of simulation by 6 January 2019 until 23.59.
  • You will not be able to access the simulation website after the specified deadline.
  • 50 teams will be quarter-finalist as a result of the first phase and it will be announced on 8 January 2019.
  • The brief of Beyond Sales Challenge will be delivered by e-mail after  8 January 2019. The participants will be preparing a presentation according to this new challenge.
  • 25 teams will be semi-finalist as a result of new challange and it will be announced on 31 January 2019.
  • The last stage before the grand final is the Negotiation phase, which will be held on 18th February. On the Negotiation Day, 25 semifinalist groups will be assigned to representatives, who will play the role of the “purchasing team” while the semifinalist team will play the role of “sales team”. This will be an online session. You are expected to drive a discussion with the purchasing team and persuade them on why they should work with you further on, instead of a competitor company. The negotiation case will be sent before this day. Throughout these sessions, we aim to test your negotiation skills through a real-life experience with CD Unilever team. Out of the 25, only 10 will be able to participate to the final stage. Finalists will be announced on 19th February.
  • Only 10 teams will be selected for the Big Final as a result of this Negotiation Day. The finalists will prepare a presentation explaining the decisions they made throughout Beyond Sales Simulation and Challenge as well as the reasons behind them.
  • All team members specified during application will have to  be present at the Big Final.
  • English is the language for all materials submitted or presented.
  • The applicants of previous Beyond Sales contests are not allowed to participate.
